Ye Shiwen controversy at 2012 London Olympics

london2012.com
The 16-year-old gold medallist swimmer Ye Shiwen of China was suspected of being doped after winning the women’s 400m individual medley final al London Olympics. Ye managed to break the world record swimming the final 50 meters of the freestyle faster than the American champion Ryan Lochte.

According to the International Olympic Committee the proclaimed golden medalist winner was "clean" for all drugs. “She’s been through Wada’s programme and she’s clean. That’s the end of the story. Ye Shiwen deserves recognition for her talent,” said Lord Colin Moynihan, who is the British Olympic Association’s chairman.

After this incident I can only say that just because someone is better doesn't automatically mean that that person had done something to cheat the system. People are not only judgmental but are also very envious.

Congrats Ye!
