Three steps to start using Twitter as a marketing tool

Twitter as you know is one of the easiest ways of attracting readers to your website or blog. The important thing about Twitter is that it allows you to promote yourself for free in front of a wide audience. Practically it's the ultimate marketing channel: a channel that gets you right in front of your customers.

Here are three basic steps that will help you promote your business on Twitter:
  1. Set up your account. I know it sounds redundant but it's one of the first things that you need to focus on once you start using Twitter. Just like in real life people need to know who you are and what  you can offer. Summarize your bio in just a few words and upload a picture.
  2. Start following people. In the beginning you should focus on those people that have a lot of followers. The wider their network is the easiest it's for you to get your message trough and win followers.
  3. Start Tweeting. Promote your business. Do not be shy and tweet with confidence about your expertise. The message you send might be of interest to someone.
I applied these three steps and in 24 hours I got over 200 followers.

You should try it too!
